Sony NEX-3 & NEX-5

nexThe popularity of smaller form-factor cameras such as the Panasonic and Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras in on the increase. Samsung recently introduced their version, the NX-10 with its mirrorless design and APS-C sized sensor. Sony announced their intention to join the so called EVIL camera market back at PMA when they displayed prototype cameras, but today the NEX-3 and NEX-5 cameras were finally made official. Nikon has today announced a brand new version of their beautiful 200-400mm F4 zoom lens. Everyone knows I shoot Canon, but I appreciate a good lens and this is one! Canon updates firmware on 5dMKII to include 24p

Today Canon has finally released the much awaited firmware update that adds 24p and 25p recording modes to the 5dMKII. Since the camera’s introduction more than a year ago, Canon has released several firmware updates. The first major one last year added manual exposure control to the video mode, but video professionals around the world were clamoring for more. Since it’s introduction the 5dMKII has been hampered by true 30fps recording (not 29.97) and no other frame rates. New Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR II and 2x Teleconverter

Nikon today announced a brand new version of the AF-S Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II. This new version includes a 4-stop image stabilization system where the last version was only a 3-stop. At the same time , a brand new 2x teleconverter has been announced that contains new aspherical lens elements for greatly improved optical performance.
