In Print – Fri Flyt

I just got this in the mail a coupe of days ago from Norway, featured in Fri Flyt magazine. You can see the printed version (courtesy of a slightly bad iPhone photo) and the original version as well. I shot this with a Canon 1D MK4 and a 70-300 f4-5.6 L IS and then composited all the frames together in Photoshop. In Print – Le Mans Images In Digital Photo

Expanding on the new One Click series post category which has been quite popular recently I thought I should also start posting some samples of my work in print. With both of these categories you can see what I actually get up to with all this gear that I’m always writing about, or at least that which I’m allowed to show you. So kicking things off today is a magazine which British readers will be familiar with, Digital Photo, the UKs largest photography magazine. They are running some of my recent motorsport images in their Big Shots gallery section at …

Le Mans 24 Hours – 2012 – What worked & what didn’t ?

Whenever I set out on a lengthy photography trip there are always many considerations when it comes to packing. Every trip requires something slightly different and my recent trip to Europe was no different. This trip was firstly to shoot the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a motorsports event in France. I shot this race last year as well and wrote an extensive report on it at the time, along with a short video about the gear that I packed for that trip. Last year the sole purpose of my trip was to shoot the race, but this year my …

Rebel TV Interview and Behind the Scenes

In March I was invited to take part in a photography contest in Austria at the Nine Queens freeski event.  Rebel TV was present for the event and they have put together a cool little webisode featuring all the photographers and also displaying the winning images in the photo contest.  I was really pleased to take home the award for Best Action Photo and Best Creative Angle at the contest.  On top of that it was just an awesome week in a great place!!  Check out the video below.

#1 Photo On 500PX !

When I first started to write this blog I included posts about my photography work, mixed in with gear reviews and industry news.  Eventually I decided that I needed to separate these two things so I started www.TheSkiPhotographer.com as a place to keep info about my ski photography work which takes up the majority of my shooting time.  Since then I haven’t really shared any of my work on this blog apart from the odd technique related post.  Today though I’d like to break that habit because I’m proud to be able to say that I have the #1 rated …

I’ve been shooting commercial images, catalog images, traveling to a photo shoot in Austria and producing a video shoot for a company from China all in the last few weeks. There is a lot to catch up on in the next few weeks so you can expect …

Where Have I Been !? Petit Le Mans.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posting last week!  I have been away shooting another big motorsports event.  My post earlier in the year about my trip to France to shoot the Le Mans 24 Hours was very popular.  Well this time I was shooting an event called the Petit Le Mans, a 10 hour race featuring the same cars. Update: Unfortunately this gallery is no longer available.
