Throughout my career, I’ve always put a lot of time and effort into maintaining an active blog full of useful information and stories about my work. Time and time again, this has paid dividends in ways I could never imagine when I first started it nearly ten years ago. Recently I learned that my this blog has been featured in the #66 spot in the Feedspot Top 100 Photography Blogs On the Planet. Not bad considering I’m just one man with a camera and a desire to share some fun and knowledge. Of course the other sites in the list, like Petapixel, FStoppers, Digital Photography School etc. are all wonderful resources, but they have teams of people working on them day and night. I’m more than chuffed to end up on the list amongst so many businesses, and other photographers that I respect.
Hopefully the redesign of the blog that I did in the spring, and the new organization of sections like the Behind the Shot series, and the Gear Check section, will only continue to increase the popularity of this site. If you enjoy what you read on here, and find it useful, it would mean the world to me if you shared your favourite posts with your photog friends on social media.
Thanks for all the support over the years! Love chatting with you guys here, and on Facebook, Instagram etc.
Congratulations Dan ! That’s saying something to be in the top 100. I’ll be in B.C. in July myself. I’ve got a drone recently and hope to fly it when I’m there. Hope to get some good shots and footage while I’m at Gambier Island visiting my brother.
Oh the islands are lovely! That’s a great place to play with a drone as long as the winds are calm 🙂 Have a great trip, Paul!
