I was recently nominated by my friend Matt Jacques, to take part in the 5 Day Black & White Challenge. Quite simply, post a new black and white photo every day and then nominate someone else to do the same thing. The “rules” were pretty loose, no need to have shot the photo that day for example. I ended up sharing a mixture of older photos, and photos that I hadn’t previously gotten around to processing. It was a really fun exercise and a great reminder of the power of B&W processing when combined with the right image.
Here are the 5 images that I shared on Instagram over the 5 days.
Day 4 of the Black & White challenge. I was originally going to try and mix things up for each day. When I was choosing yesterday's shot from Cambodia though, I came across this one from Bayon temple that I hadn't processed yet. I couldn't resist….. On that trip I had a lot of overcast skies, I think I visited this same spot 5 mornings in a row hoping for a little more contrast and direct light to really bring the textures alive. #Cambodia #bayon #travel #history #exploremore #bwchallenge
