Phase One Updates Their IQ Backs & Adds WiFi

I’m not a medium format shooter but I do stay abreast of things in that area and I liked what I saw from Phase One when they launched the IQ series about 18 months ago.  Today they have announced an upgrade to the new IQ260 and IQ280. Phase One Announces 80 MP Digital Back

Phase One has released information on a new line of digital medium format backs today.  The new backs do not replace the P+ lineup, but sit above it as a higher level.  The 40, 60 and 80 megapixel backs feature several innovative new features like USB3 connectivity, 290 mil ppi high res LCD screen , Liveview and touch screen capabilities to name just a few.  $43,000 is a high price (for the IQ180) but this looks to be the best featured digital back available yet.  The 40 and 60MP versions are cheaper but still not “cheap” 🙂 Press Release Phase
