Phase One has released information on a new line of digital medium format backs today.  The new backs do not replace the P+ lineup, but sit above it as a higher level.  The 40, 60 and 80 megapixel backs feature several innovative new features like USB3 connectivity, 290 mil ppi high res LCD screen , Liveview and touch screen capabilities to name just a few.  $43,000 is a high price (for the IQ180) but this looks to be the best featured digital back available yet.  The 40 and 60MP versions are cheaper but still not “cheap” Continue reading »
