Best Manfrotto quick release plate for the Glidecam Hd2000 and 5dmk 2 combination ?

Hi there.,I see you mention and suggest both the Manfrotto 577 and 357 QRPs. Which of the two would be more practical the shorter 577 or the 357 with the 80mm sliding plate and presumably more balancing options or does this get in the way ?

Have you ever seen the new Small HD DP4 monitor used on the foot of the Glidecam HD 2000, as I was thinking of going this route ?

Your wisdom on this is appreciated..
regards,

Hey Dan,
Great review..
I first bought a£Flycam 5000" from that Indian company that sells on ebay, wow what a mistake, and anyone else reading this should stay away from them..
I had considered this Glidecam but I chose to go with the Merlin..
I think you would have to agree that you really do have to spend some dollars in order to get a great product...
Thanks for your reviews, they really help.

btw, nice simpleview gallery "wink wink"... get the pro version for $20 and the logo goes away..

Cheers,
Pete
