Hi Dan, THANK YOU!

It's so 'comforting' to read your comments on the 'instruction' booklet and it's uselessness!
Do you know of, is there somewhere, a detailed, step-by-step list of instructions (I hope!)?

Thanks,
Kent

Hey Keith, no bother at all. good question. The hyperdrive makes an exact copy of whatever is on your CF card. I just tried it with my 5d to make sure and yes it works just fine. though you cant playback the movie on the hyperdrive, it does copy the files you need. You see the thumbnail displayed during the import as if it is an image like any other. When you browse the files via the hyperdrive it does not show any movie files or thumbs as being there but when you plg it into computer they are there no problem at all.

I was wonder by chance if you have used that with a Canon 5D or 7D and does it transfer over movie files? Does this include the .THM files which are required to bring the 5D movies into FCP. It seems like most of the Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA's are sold out wherever you look so I might end up buying a Hyperdrive Album instead (although I like that the Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA can back up to another HD without use of AC adapter). I imagine it also just copies the CF card exactly as it was shot?

Sanho is now out of both of these, the udma and the album, with extensive searching I was able to find one store in the us that had a colorspace udma and it is on its way, and one in canada that has many, but figuring the rates and extra charges the canadian ones were way too expensive. I was recently told by sanho that the otg version of the album will probably not be sold here and that it is considered a low grade version with poor screen, etc.

well, today they told me they will probably not sell the album otg version in this country, and they still have none of the colorspace udma, they said they would make some more but right now are focusing on the album, so i may be ready for my trip and only the one model will be available, and not with otg, or maybe they'll make some of the others,

I see now they may be offering an otg version of the 'album' but it will not have the card slots, you will have to use an external card reader with it
