I'm surprised to see that the canon is now cheaper!! As you say, this is not normally the case. From what I have heard, the 2 lenses are very similar in quality. I have only used the sigma and it is fantastic IMHO but i think the canon is on par. If i were you i'd get the canon and save the $90. I dont think it will disappoint.
